OUR FOCUS IS YOUR PHYSICAL WELL BEING …read more to find out how we achieve this…
Our remedial massage background allows us to understand that everything in the body is connected and related, which enables us to take a holistic approach when treating clients. This means we don’t simply address your pain symptoms. Instead we assess your posture, discuss your health history, get an understanding of your lifestyle habits and establish your desired outcomes for the session so we can determine the underlying source of your pain.
Tailored to your needs.
A session at Physical Focus can be a combination of relaxation/Swedish massage, manual lymph drainage techniques and/or incorporate deep tissue techniques such as deep stripping, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and muscle energy techniques. We work with you to determine the best treatment plan to relieve your pain, invigorate your muscles and get you moving with renewed ease and energy.
Our techniques and training enable us to treat a great variety of soft tissue pain and injuries such as repetitive strain injuries like tendonitis in tennis and golfers’ elbow, knee pain, shin-splints, lower back and shoulder pain. Some of these injuries may also be caused by muscle imbalance. Postural imbalance and poor body mechanics can cause some muscles to be overworked and overdeveloped while others are used inefficiently. As a result, muscle wastage and weakness in muscle groups and joints can occur, creating a cycle of pain that is hard to change unless you are made aware of these patterns and equipped with the knowledge to alter your behaviour. At Physical Focus we endeavour to provide pain relief and a rehabilitation plan that will help you strengthen individual muscles, regain muscle balance and better posture. We aim to get you moving freely and feeling better today!
